What is Free Comic Book Day
As the name implies, Free Comic Book Day is a single day when participating comic book specialty shops across North America (like The Comic Store in Lancaster) and around the world give away comic books absolutely free to anyone who comes into their shops.
Please check out the FCBD Home Page https://www.freecomicbookday.com/ for a detailed list of the free comics available on August 14th. THERE ARE GREAT TITLES FOR ALL AGES!
Only at The Comic Store - Lancaster
As always, each customer receives one free comic book. For each additional COMIC, we request that YOU MAKE A 50 CENT donation (collected at the register). All of the donated money will be used to buy graphic novels and books for the Lancaster County libraries.
Two years ago, The Comic Store collected over $1500.00 for the local libraries DURING THIS EVENT. Six years ago, The Comic Store won the National Award FOR Best Charity from Diamond Comic Distributors for its efforts in sponsoring this fund-raiser.
