Free Comic Book Day 2023

Saturday May 6th 2023 9:00 a.m. - 7:30 p.m.

The Comic Store is once again proud to join in on this national day of comic book celebration!  The day also marks the opening day of the new Marvel movie, "Guardians of the Galaxy,"which is tracking to be the most successful Marvel movie of all time!

As always, each customer receives one free comic book.  For each additional COMIC, we request that each customer MAKE A 50 CENT donation (collected at the register). All of the donated money will be used to buy graphic novels and books for the Lancaster County libraries.

Local cosplay characters will be on hand to celebrate with us.  And a 20% sale on most items will be in effect.

What is Free Comic Book Day

As the name implies, Free Comic Book Day is a single day when participating comic book specialty shops across North America (like The Comic Store in Lancaster) and around the world give away comic books absolutely free to anyone who comes into their shops.

Last year, The Comic Store collected over $1500.00 for the local libraries DURING THIS EVENT. .  Seven years ago, The Comic Store won the National Award FOR Best Charity from Diamond Comic Distributors for its efforts in sponsoring this fund-raiser.
